Question: Have you thought about Judgment Day?
—–
Acts 17:30 “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,
31 “because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”
—-
Paul declares to the Athenians that they will not be judged by their idols, but that God will judge them by the Man who was raised from the dead.

Who will be the Judge?

Did you see that? “He will judge…by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” Jesus Christ, the Man raised from the dead, will be the Judge of the world. Other passages speak of Jesus as the Creator and Redeemer, but here He is revealed as the Judge.

When is the Judgement?

Judgement day is said to be appointed. It will be at the end, but the exact time and date of the judgement are not revealed to us. However, God already has the day scheduled. We should be thinking about that day. It reminds me of another day, a day last year when I had surgery. I have had only one surgery in my adult years. I remember the day the Doctor made the surgery appointment. Nobody enjoys surgery, and I am no exception! That dreadful date didn’t push out, but it kept getting closer and closer. I knew I would not be able to walk for several weeks after, so I made several arrangements with my job and to receive help from family members. Finally the date came, the stress of it all: the Doctors, the staff, the operating room, the humiliating robe, the shots and I.V., the medical equipment and instruments, the bright lights – it was unsettling to say the least. But how much more awesome will be the Judgement Day of the world: the multitude gathered, the throne of glory, and sitting on the throne, the resurrected-righteous Son of God. That day is set, and that day is getting closer and closer.

Are you preparing for the judgement?

Therefore, confessing Christians, let Christ live through us, so that the Judgement Seat of Christ be not so terrible.

Unbeliever, repent, bow your knee and confess Jesus as your King, so you will not find your name missing from the Book of Life when you attend the Great White Throne Judgement with Jesus presiding as Judge. Soul, this Judge is different, He died for your sins and rose again, you can trust Him. Will you receive His forgiveness by trusting in His sacrifice? Repent, receive Him, rejoice and confess Him before men. He is your Creator, Redeemer, and will be your Judge.

God bless, Bob

Mat 25:31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy[fn] angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
32 “All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
33 “And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 ‘for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
36 ‘I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
38 ‘When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
39 ‘Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
40 “And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 ‘for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;
43 ‘I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
44 “Then they also will answer Him,[fn] saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’
45 “Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’
46 “And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Romans 14:10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.[fn]
11 For it is written: “As I live, says th
e LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.”[fn]
12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.

1 Cor 3:11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.
14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

2Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

Rev 20:10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where[fn] the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,[fn] and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.[fn]
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
