Colossians 3 verse 11

11  Here there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all and in all.

Here – meaning in the ‘One’ mentioned in verse 10, that is, in Christ.

there is neither Greek nor Jew – meaning in Christ, there is no distinction between race, culture, or nationality. Specifically, Paul is saying there is no difference between the Jews or those living in the nations of the Roman Empire who speak Greek.

circumcised or uncircumcised – meaning there is no difference in Christ between the circumcised Jews and the uncircumcised Greeks. Circumcision being the removal of the foreskin of the male reproductive organ as a sign to the Jews that they were of Abraham’s lineage.

barbarian – Easton’s Bible Dictionary defines this word to mean nations in the Roman Empire that did not speak the Greek language. Some sources say this word was not used as a derogatory term like it is used today, but rather to describe those who spoke a different language.

Scythian – Smith’s Bible Dictionary defines this word to be a people group made up of nomadic tribes located north of the Black and Caspian Seas and extending into inner Asia.   Other sources say modern-day Russia.

slave – meaning those in bondage and in servitude to the will of another.

free – means free of slavery to another.

but Christ is all – meaning that Christ is spiritually everything to them whom He indwells. Eternal life is found only in Him. All spiritual blessings are in Him.  Even all the physical universe was created and is sustained by Him.

and in all – meaning not that He is in every individual, but that He indwells believers from every nation and race.

Is Jesus Partial?

With Me, there is no partiality.  I do not distinguish between people groups.  In my eyes, you are all one race.  You are of Adam’s race.  It doesn’t matter where you were born.  It doesn’t matter what language you speak.  Your religious background doesn’t earn you any points with Me.  Your social status doesn’t make you more or less deserving of eternal life.

I, Christ your creator, am all that matters.  If you have Me, then you have salvation and eternal life.  I am the way, the truth, and the life.  Your inheritance and every spiritual blessing is in Me.  I hold your universe, your world, your body, your soul, and your salvation in My hand.  I am your everything.

I am in all.  I am in believers all around the world.  I am in believers in developed countries, third world counties, arab countries, asian countries, african countries, and within believers back where it all started, Israel. Truly all that believe Me are my children, and you all are brothers.
