In your life, can you name examples of gospel ministry partners who work together and really care for each other like Paul and Titus?
B) my son
Paul’s son means that Titus either became a Christian or was trained through Paul’s ministry. He was not Paul’s physical son, but he was Paul’s son in a spiritual sense.
My genuine son means Titus’ faith was true as evidenced by his good works.
James 2:18 (NET) 18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by my works.
D) common faith
Common faith means Titus was saved by the same faith by which all Christians are saved.
1. Who brought you to Christ or trained you up in the Faith?
2 Name those believers that you can call spiritual sons and daughters through your ministry? Name someone that you have trained up in the faith?

The reason I left you in Crete –
Here we learn that Paul left Titus in Crete for the purposes below.
Crete is a small Island located in the Mediterranean Sea. This is the same island Paul sailed under before being caught in the Euroclydon and crashing on Melita during his journey to answer before Caesar. Act 27.
was to set in order the remaining matters –
Titus’ mission was to set things in order in the churches on the island of Crete.
The specific matters to set in order are mentioned throughout this letter.
and to appoint elders in every town, as I directed you –
The second part of Titus’ mission was to appoint elders / leaders in each town in Crete.
The letter to Timothy and this letter to Titus specify the qualifications of elders.
The purpose of elders will be discussed later in this letter.
Why do you think elders were needed? How do you imagine the church would look without elders?
Can you name some elders in your life for whom you are grateful?
